Christian Echle, born in 1981 in Pforzheim, Germany, is the director of KAS Media Africa - the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Media Programme for sub-Saharan Africa, which is based in Johannesburg.

The programme works on improving the quality of journalism and media laws in the region. It also focuses on the cooperation with political parties on political communication.

After working as a journalist for Badische Neueste Nachrichten and Badische Zeitung, Christian joined the Adenauer Foundation in 2007 with a focus on online communication and social media.
