Ásta is a researcher and a freedom of expression activist. A historian by training, Ásta focuses on internet censorship and copyright reform. She is a member of the board of the Edgeryder’s thinktank, youth board member for Index on Censorship, co-founder of the Copywrongs initiative and has worked both in the European Parliament and the Icelandic Parliament.
