Gilly Karjevsky (1979, Israel) is an independent curator and cultural planner. She holds an MA in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins College. Co-director of ‘72 Hour Urban Action’ - the international real-time architecture competition since 2010, with most recent projects in Germany, Denmark, Italy and Turkey. Founding curator at CAiR - Program for artists residencies in municipal departments. Member of the international artistic committee at ‘ArtCube’ artists residencies in Jerusalem. Curator of "Glocal Neighbours" - a program for knowledge exchange between neighbourhoods. Currently developing "Playful Commons" - a research project on applying ways to publicly license use of public space. Gilly's work is project-based, cross-disciplinary and collaborative, with a focus on projects which test artistic media in public institutions and public space. She is working hard to facilitate the integration of artists into processes of urban design and urban planning.
