Adam Molyneux-Berry
Co-founder

Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Adam co-founded his first business, The Design Emporium with his family in 1996, at the age of 18. This marked the first of four businesses (and 2 networks) he would co-found. Over the last 10 years Adam's passion towards sustainability in its many forms has led him to co-create 3 organisations: • icecairo – a social enterprise and Egypt’s leading green tech innovation hub & “maker” space • Nawaya - a social enterprise innovating with sustainable agriculture and small-holder farmer entrepreneurship • GEN Africa – a network connecting Ecovillages and using participatory design to develop and share best practices in social, environmental, financial and cultural sustainability. Adam's uses social innovation technologies to create communities-of-practice around complex challenges and to turn these challenges into green businesses.  His experience in environmentalism, green tech innovation and entrepreneurship has allowed him to become part of a movement, using Social Enterprises to create triple-bottom-line products; improving the livelihoods of communities and creating jobs for youth; helping forge a Green Economy for a more sustainable Egypt.
