Nanjira Sambuli
Research Manager

Nanjira Sambuli is a Research Manager at iHub, where she leads the Governance & Technology research pillar. Nanjira is trained as a mathematician with experience as a new media strategist for organizations such as UNEP, UN HABITAT, Africans Act 4 Africa, Global Power Shift, on their new media-based pan-African and international campaigns. Nanjira is also the editor of the Innovative Africa: The new face of Africa essay collection. With iHub Research, Nanjira has developed a framework for assessing the Viability, Verification, and Validity of Crowdsourcing, and worked on the Umati: Online Dangerous Speech Monitoring Project, as well as a publication on ICT and Governance landscape in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. 

Nanjira is also a keen observer on how technology is impacting governance, media and culture.
