Katharina Finke

Katharina Finke (*1985) is an investigative journalist who is covering stories around the world. She works freelance as a global correspondent for print and online media (enorm, freitag, Fräulein, Greenpeace Magazin, Merian, spiegel.de, stern.de, Zeit), as well as German speaking television broadcasters (ARD, ORF, SF, SpiegelTV, ProSiebenSat1). Finke’s work concentrates on culture, sustainability and society with a focus on social and gender issues.

Finke reported from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Israel, New Zealand, Portugal and the US. She has just returned from India, where she has been researching about violence against women. Before she spent three month in China as a fellow of the program "Media Ambassadors China-Germany" of Robert Bosch Stiftung

During Finke’s Master studies of Journalism she has been blogging for the 30-year-anniversary congress of taz, the festival “Lessingtage” of Thalia Theater,  as well as for the community of freitag. Her Master Thesis, which she realized together with Greenpeace, deals with the potential of online campaigning communities for the German public.
