Our Call For Papers has been online since last week, and this is a good opportunity to highlight some selected topics coming up. We will start with wearables today, because we have got some news for you concerning fashion & technology:

#FashiontechBerlin Conference

For the first time, re:publica is cooperating with PREMIUM and SEEK. PREMIUM and SEEK are international fashion trade fairs that attract thousands of visitors from the international fashion scene in January and July every year.

On January 20, 2015, re: publica, PREMIUM and SEEK will open the new #FashiontechBerlin conference at the Berlin Arena. This one-day event will focus on wearables and the digital future of fashion. Make sure to mark the date!

And you can participate in #FashiontechBerlin too: If you want us to not only consider your submission for re:publica in May 2015, but for #FashiontechBerlin on 20 January 2015 as well, then be sure to apply by to December 20, 2014.

Surprise us with your ideas and projects for smart portable gadgets, new materials for other dimensions, DIY innovations, wearable privacy hacks – your vision that connects technology and fashion in an exciting and adventurous way, or something else altogether.
