My thesis is that Africa's innovation ecosystem is currently underperforming and not evenly spread This trend might continue to drag along until certain conscious steps are taken to address the lingering impediments. A Government-Private Partnership is the way out of these setbacks.

Description:

Africa's innovation ecosystem is currently underperforming and not evenly spread. This trend might continue to drag along until certain conscious steps are taken to address the lingering impediments. While some of these solutions require Government intervention to reduce cost and time of solving, the prominent role to be played by the private sector can never be overemphasized if results are inevitable. To learn more about the 3 pertinent inputs needed as discovered from my years of experience playing in the space, plan to attend my session on the GIG stage at re:publica '14.
