She is currently the Community Lead at m:Lab East Africa. A techie by passion, Sheilah is meticulous organizer and resourceful mobiliser.

She is passionate about mobile, entrepreneurship, investing, growth hacking and startups dynamics. She has experience in pitching having listened to over one hundred pitches, coached and mentored several startups.

Sheilah also organized one of the biggest tech event in East Africa: PIVOT East,since 2012. Pivot East is East Africa’s premier mobile startups pitching competition and conference held annually. It is organized to amplify and consolidate the gains of East Africa’s Mobile developer and entrepreneurship ecosystem. She has also coordinated other regional events like ICT4Ag AgriHack Championships 2013 for CTA. M2Work MicroWork 2013 Global Challenge for infoDev and Space Apps Challlenge 2013 for NASA. 

During her free time Sheilah watches sports, writes poems and reads.
